for Volunteer Wilderness Ranger Trainees 2024 Greetings! Here is your homework assignment. Please view each video before your in-person training day (June 1), when you may be given a pop quiz on the content. Their total duration is about an hour. 
Welcome to the ESWA 2024 Volunteer Wilderness Ranger (VWR) Training Class! We are thrilled to have you join our dedicated team of individuals committed to the conservation and protection of our cherished wilderness areas. Your willingness to volunteer your time and energy to this cause speaks volumes about your dedication to preserving nature's beauty for future generations.
As part of your training, you will gain valuable knowledge and skills that are critical to fulfilling the duties of a VWR. Our comprehensive program focuses on how to engage effectively with the public to educate them about the importance of preserving our natural surroundings and how to gather critical information for ESWA and the USFS. We believe that each volunteer brings unique strengths and perspectives to our team, and we are eager to learn from you as much as we hope to teach you. This training is not only an opportunity to develop your skills but also to form lasting connections with fellow volunteers who share your passion for the outdoors and environmental stewardship. Throughout the duration of this training, you will be guided by experienced rangers and conservationists who are not only knowledgeable but passionate about wilderness protection. They will be your mentors, teachers, and supporters, ensuring you are fully prepared to take on the responsibilities of a Volunteer Wilderness Ranger. Please ensure to bring your enthusiasm, questions, and a readiness to learn. Together, we will work towards making a significant difference in the conservation of our precious wilderness areas.
